Frontlines Era

Napoleonic Era (Nations At War)

The Nations At War factions cover the great powers and regional contenders of the Coalition Wars. Expect black powder volleys, officers shouting over smoke, cavalry on the flanks, and a lot of flags being carried into very bad places.

Britain

A leading Coalition power with a strong naval identity and a long reach across land and sea. In Holdfast, Britain is tied closely to line infantry, rocketry, naval play, and morale support such as Bagpipers.

France

Napoleon's continental powerhouse and the faction at the heart of the period. France is present across land, naval, and coastal battles, with a broad roster and iconic cavalry such as the Cuirassier.

Prussia

A disciplined military state shaped by defeat, reform, and renewed war against France. Prussia brings a grounded Napoleonic roster focused on clean infantry play and battlefield order.

Russia

The great eastern power of the Napoleonic Wars, remembered for depth, endurance, and the long road to 1812. Russian troops often carry swords as sidearms, giving them a distinct feel in close combat.

Italy

A Napoleonic client kingdom tied closely to France and the wider imperial project. Italy fills out the era with a regional identity and a familiar black powder battlefield role.

Austria

A major Habsburg power and repeated opponent of revolutionary and imperial France. Austria brings another central European force to the line, with the weight of old empire behind it.

Spain

A major Iberian power whose armies and local resistance shaped the Peninsular War. Spain adds another front to the Coalition struggle, with a history tied to hard campaigning and stubborn defence.

Privateers

Sailors, raiders, and opportunists fighting under letters of marque. Privateers bring a looser naval identity to the age of sail, built around prize-taking, boarding actions, and life outside the regular navy.

American Patriots

The revolutionary forces of the American colonies, fighting for independence against British rule. Their place in Holdfast brings militia spirit, colonial battlefields, and the struggle of a new nation into focus.

The British Empire

Crown forces representing Britain's imperial reach beyond Europe. This faction sits naturally opposite revolutionary and colonial forces, bringing disciplined regulars and imperial authority to the field.

Frontlines Era (World War I)

Frontlines shifts the battlefield into the industrial age. The lines are broken up, rifles fire faster, machine guns dominate lanes, and forward positions matter more than parade-ground neatness.

The Allied Powers

A coalition drawing from nations such as Britain, France, Australia, and the United States. The faction reflects the broader Allied war effort, with some class identities tied to specific national forces.

The Central Powers

Represented through German infantry forces in Frontlines. The faction brings the opposing side of the Great War to Holdfast, with uniforms, weapons, and battlefield roles built around the era's industrial combat.
