Overview

Infantry roles
Rank and File are the backbone of line infantry combat.
These classes form firing lines, hold ground, board ships, and benefit most from orders, flags, music, and disciplined formations.
Core roleStand in formation, fire volleys, and hold objectives with musket and bayonet.

The Rank & File make up the bulk of the fighting forces on each side. On land these men stand shoulder to shoulder to fire volleys at the enemy, while at sea they man the cannons and take boarding action.

Line Infantry (Standard)

The stalwart line infantryman. Armed with a musket and bayonet, he is motivated by the orders of the Officers and the patriotic encouragement of the Morale Boosters to perform above and beyond the capabilities of a single man.
